While speaking on the occasion of one- day Refresher Training of District Focal Persons(DFPs) for Vitamin A Supplementation(VAS) Program Manager AAP Dr MB Raja Dharejo emphasised on a need for integration of VAS with polio program as well as EPI/routine immunisation.
In view of high rate of vitamin-A deficiency among children and women PM AAP urged the DFPs to ensure maximum supplementation of vitamin- A in their respective districts since it is a significant public health problem.
The event was organised by Nutrition International in collaboration with Health Department, Government of Sindh and World Health Organisation(WHO).
