Meeting of the District Coordination Committee for Nutrition (DCCN) was held on 06 December 2019 at the Deputy Commissioner office, Sanghar to review implementation of all nutritional interventions in the district in order to reduce stunting and malnutrition among children under five years.
Addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner Sanghar, Mr Mirza Nasir Ali said the Accelerated Action Plan (APP) is an important programme since it covers both nutrition specific and nutrition sensitive interventions. With regard to the WASH, he said that making villages Open Defecation Free (ODF) will result in betterment personal and environment hygiene in the neglected areas. Furthermore, he said that the Public Health Department (PHD) and WASH Sector work together for producing better results.
