Training workshop on ODF

WASH Sector (Saaf Suthto Sindh) of Local Govt Department, Govt. of Sindh successfully concluded two-days event last week titled, “ Training workshop on ODF( Open Defecation Free) Learning and Sustainability” here in Karachi. Mr. Nasir Hussain Shah, Minister for Local Govt, Mr. Roshan Ali Shaikh, Secretary, Local Govt Department graced the occasion. On behalf of the Govt of Sindh they assured full cooperation in making all villages ODF. On this occasion, Mr. Farooq Ahmed Siddiqui, Project Director, SSS gave a detailed presentation on the progress of the project. Mr. Asghar Soomro, Mr. Ather Hussain and Ms Hameeda Kaleem from Provincial Task Force Secretariat for AAP also spoke at the occasion. The event was organised in collaboration between Local Govt and WaterAid organisation. The participants included local government officials and representatives from Unicef, EU- PINS( RSPN and Conseil Sante), HANDs and others.
