Message by Program Coordinator

It is an honor to address you as we embark on a critical and transformative journey with the Accelerated Action Plan (AAP) for Nutrition in Sindh. Malnutrition has long been one of the most pressing challenges faced by our province, impacting the health, development, and future of our children, mothers, and communities. It is with great responsibility and commitment that we move forward with this plan, which is designed to address malnutrition comprehensively, swiftly, and sustainably.

Our vision is to ensure that every child in Sindh not only survives but thrives—enjoying the full benefits of good health, a strong body, and a bright future. The Accelerated Action Plan will focus on providing immediate, targeted interventions that will address the root causes of malnutrition, including inadequate access to nutritious foods, poor feeding practices, and insufficient healthcare services. This plan is a collaborative effort that involves the government, local communities, health workers, and development partners working together to make a tangible difference.

Through this initiative, we are not only aiming to reduce the rates of stunting, wasting, and micronutrient deficiencies but also to promote sustainable solutions by strengthening local health systems, improving food security, and raising awareness on proper nutrition practices. The success of this program will depend on our collective determination and unified action.

As Chairman of the Planning and Development Board, I would like to reassure all stakeholders—government bodies, health professionals, community leaders, and the public—that we are fully committed to ensuring the success of the AAP for Nutrition. We will provide the necessary resources, support, and guidance to implement this plan effectively, with the ultimate goal of building a healthier, more resilient Sindh.

I urge each of you to join hands in this endeavor, because only through collaboration and shared responsibility can we create lasting change. Let us work together to ensure that every child in Sindh has access to the nutrition they need to grow, learn, and succeed.
