Project Brief
Accelerated Action Plan for reduction of Stunting & Malnutrition is multi-sectoral plan of action prepared by the government of Sindh, led by the Planning & development Board in collaboration with development partners. the plan focuses on international best practices to combat Malnutrition by adopting nutrition specific and nutrition sensitive interventions.

STUDIES DURING INTERVENTIONS
The National Nutrition Survey (NNS) was conducted in 2018, which brought the following figures
- Stunting 45.5%
- Underweight 41.3%
- Wasting 23.3%
In 2018, another Multi-indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) was conducted which brought the following
- Stunting 50.2%
- Wasting 14.8%
- Underweight 40.7%

- 6.7 million Children have been screened for malnutrition according to latest monthly progress
- 724442 children aged 6 to 59 months have been registered at OTP
- 28087 SAM (Severe Acute Malnutrition)children with complications treated at NSCs
- 333669 RUTF(Ready to use Therapeutic food) have been supplied o the OTP and NSC for treatment of SAM (Severe Acute Malnourished) children
